About The Liebowitz
Entrepreneur Program

Brooklyn-born innovator Ted Liebowitz founded the Liebowitz Entrepreneur Program at Brooklyn College to give select students hands-on mentorship, real-world venture experience, and the mindset to launch, lead, and scale bold ideas.

The Liebowitz Entrepreneur Program was started by Brooklyn College Alumnus Ted Liebowitz, Class of 79, and his dad Joseph, a former NYC Police officer, as a way to give back to the college.

We believe entrepreneurship education should do more than inspire—it should align with your values, cut wasted effort, and help you launch and grow with clarity, purpose, and real-world traction through the Liebowitz Entrepreneur Program.

Our Story

Born from Ted Liebowitz’s founder journey, the Liebowitz Entrepreneur Program bridges classroom learning with real-world execution. We share hard-won playbooks, mentor access, and a free eBook that distills startup fundamentals for anyone ready to build.

We’ve turned lessons from telecom, media, and tech into practical frameworks—case studies, templates, and checklists you can use today—so first-time founders avoid common pitfalls and move faster with confidence.

Equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical skills—customer discovery, MVP design, pitching, and traction—so ideas become ventures. Through workshops, mentorship, and our free eBook, we lower barriers and accelerate the path from concept to company.

We focus on measurable outcomes: validated problems, real users, early revenue, and investor-ready narratives. Every session ends with an action plan, accountability, and resources to take the very next step.

A founder-ready community where every student and self-starter has the tools to launch, grow, and lead. We’ll keep expanding open resources—beginning with our free eBook—to train entrepreneurs who create jobs, solve problems, and give back.

Long term, we aim to build an ecosystem of alumni mentors, partner studios, and micro-grants that compounds opportunity—so the next generation of builders can start strong and scale with purpose.

What Makes Us Different

Built by founders, we teach what works, not theory, with repeatable startup playbooks today.

Open-access eBook and toolkits reduce barriers, giving every builder clear next steps to start.

Seasoned operators mentor directly, offering candid feedback, intros, and accountability from day one on.

Hands-on labs replace lectures, so you test, learn, iterate, and build momentum each week.

We track problem validation, users, revenue, and pitches, turning progress into investor-ready narratives fast.

Welcoming, diverse cohorts and alumni networks multiply opportunities, partnerships, and real support for founders.

I wrote this book to share what I’ve learned about being an entrepreneur—lessons earned by starting and running a range of successful businesses. Little did I know that the bagel route I ran at age ten, serving over a hundred families in the Coney Island housing projects, would set the stage for a lifetime of diverse and exciting ventures.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll get practical techniques, strategies, and the real requirements for entrepreneurial success. There’s no magic formula—every business is different—but one constant is change. The skill that matters most is your ability to pivot as conditions shift.

How These Lessons Were Built

I learned firsthand alongside top businesspeople, lawyers, accountants, publicists, sales pros, and marketers. I’ve attended hundreds of trade shows, traveled millions of miles, and made a point of entering industries I knew nothing about—and learning fast.

I wish you the very best on your journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur.
