City launches $2 million effort to help women close small-business gender gap~article from Crain’s New York

November 19, 2015 With a new study showing women entrepreneurs struggling compared with their male counterparts, the city will launch a program Thursday to give female small-business owners a boost from the city. The $2 million effort will offer free money-management courses, mentorship, networking events and a website for resources available to women who own businesses.
